Timber Harvesting

The Problem

The problems associated with foresty are similar to those of land development, the construction of access and haul roads and disturbance of the soil. Timber harvesting involves more than just the cutting of trees. Poorly planned and managed harvesting activities can result in serious soil erosion and steam sedimentation.
